LUDLOW VIADUCT

The Ludlow Viaduct was built in 1914 to connect LudlowAve. directly with Knowlton's Corner, passing over the Mill Creek and theB&O main line. I-75 was built under it in 1960.   When itwas built a few of the arch pier piles were not driven to the bedrock andthe viaduct suffered severe structural problems and underwent repairs inthe 1980's.   It was torn down around 1991 and replaced witha generic interstate highway overpass which is still called the LudlowViaduct even though it looks no different than any other overpass.
